Oscar Jandres is one of Corvus’s longest-tenured team members. For nearly three decades, he has helped shape the company’s field operations and culture. Today, he serves as a Superintendent, leading teams with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and respect.
His journey with Corvus began in September 1998 as a finisher helper. He was eager to learn and grateful for the opportunity. Within two years, after gaining valuable hands-on experience, he was promoted to finisher.
Although he briefly explored an opportunity with another company early in his career, it did not take long for him to realize Corvus was home.
“I stepped away briefly early in my career, but I quickly realized Corvus was home. I came back committed to building my future here.”
After returning, Oscar worked toward becoming a professional finisher. The next several years were spent growing in the field, with a strong focus on safety and quality across all trades, especially drywall, painting, and cleaning.
In 2004, he stepped into a Foreman Finisher role, where he began overseeing crews and developing his leadership skills. That experience opened the door to even greater responsibility, and in 2009, he became a Superintendent.
Throughout that journey, Oscar says one of his biggest priorities has been fostering respect among foremen and uniting teams to strengthen the company culture.
Working alongside Will Thornton in the field is something Oscar says he will always value. Will’s work ethic and constant desire to learn earned Oscar’s respect early on. When Will stepped into leadership, Oscar says he had the privilege of helping recognize and develop the incredible potential within the team, always leading with honesty and follow-through.
What Oscar says he enjoys most is teaching, especially when it comes to safety and quality. More than anything, he loves helping people see the opportunity in front of them. He encourages team members to look within themselves, recognize their potential, and grow within the company.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve been blessed with over the past 28 years, and I’m committed to continuing to pour that same investment back into the people who make Corvus what it is.”
From finisher helper to Superintendent, Oscar’s journey represents nearly three decades of steady leadership and commitment that continue to strengthen Corvus today.
