Corvus’ Safety Department recently took a proactive step to strengthen our emergency preparedness by hosting First Aid and CPR training for both our frontline supervisors and upper management. The ability to respond quickly and effectively in a medical emergency can mean the difference between life and death—and by equipping team members at every level with life-saving skills, we’re reinforcing that safety is a company-wide priority.
According to the American Heart Association (AHA):
- Over 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of hospitals each year in the U.S.
- Immediate CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival when performed within the first few minutes of cardiac arrest.
- Only about 40% of individuals who suffer a cardiac emergency receive CPR before professional help arrives.
By ensuring our team is trained in CPR and First Aid, we’re not only protecting our workforce but also helping safeguard the lives of colleagues, friends, and family members in the event of an unexpected emergency.
Safety is more than just preventing accidents—it’s about being prepared for the unpredictable. This training is one of many steps we’re taking to build a safer, more resilient workforce at Corvus.
